Job Summary

Retail Sales Associate – Face of our retail locations, delivering exceptional service, product knowledge, and contributing to revenue growth.

Schedule & Worksite

Varying shifts, including both opening and closing, weekdays and weekends, max 30 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

Drive Sales and Revenue

  • Utilize upselling and cross‑selling techniques to increase sales.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, sales, programs, and sales to inform customers effectively.

Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Provide detailed product information and recommendations.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
  • Retrieve patient information from the Medical Marijuana Use Registry and maintain confidential HIPAA‑compliant paperwork.
  • Package pre‑orders efficiently for reserve‑ahead pickups.
  • Obtain appropriate documentation from each patient at every delivery, ensuring validity of their identification and registration with Medical Marijuana Use.
  • Deliver products to customers in store or via home delivery.

Store Operations

  • Operate POS and auxiliary sales systems, handling transactions accurately.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well‑stocked sales floor.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Set up and dismantle promotional displays and visual merchandising.
  • Follow state regulations pertaining to certified Cannabis retailers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compliance and Record‑Keeping

  • Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Follow loss prevention guidelines and monitor for suspicious activity.
Qualifications
  • Age 21 or over (Industry Requirement).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Industry Requirement).
  • Valid Government‑Issued Photo  (Industry Requirement).
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1 year of experience in retail or a related customer service role.
  • Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling transactions.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues promptly.

Preferred

  • Experience in the Cannabis industry.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Ability to speak another language to assist guests.
Physical Requirements
  • Remain stationary (sit or stand) for prolonged periods.
  • Assist with lifting stock and materials.
  • Retrieval tasks throughout shift.
  • Remain seated in vehicle for extended periods.
  • Pick up heavy items to load (50+ lbs.) onto vehicle.
  • Work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Bend in repetitive motion.
