About This PositionTransport non‑critically ill children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric customers from the location of call to a hospital or appropriate medical facility. This EMT‑EMR Driver position is the entry level for EMTs looking to function within the BLS and/or ALS environment within the Metro Division.
Hours- Hours of operation: 5:30 am – 3:00 am
- Drivers are scheduled a 10‑hour shift within this timeframe
- Work schedules are determined through a shift bid process based on employee seniority
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous EMS experience preferred.
- Valid Class D driver’s license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record. Driver must be at least 18 years of age and have at least one year of experience as a licensed driver.
- MnDOT certification required.
- If not a current EMT, must complete a DOT-approved first aid class within 45 days of hire.

Salary Range:
Medical Transportation Tier 1 $ 20.15 – $28.75 per hour, based on experience
Shift Differential:
Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
