This role offers a patient‑centric environment and an apprenticeship that leads to PTCB certification. The program is recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor.

Base pay range: $17.00–$20.50 per hour.

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, coach other technicians and cashiers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience; greet customers and resolve issues.
• Under supervision, assist in inventory management, labeling of samples, and clinical services.
• Maintain accurate records, register sales, handle cash, and operate the cash register.
• Adhere to Walgreens policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing.
• Report prescription errors promptly and participate in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Support the Pharmacy Department’s operational needs and participate in training and continuing education.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the supplied training program; certification required for promotion.
• Attend manager‑requested training and acquire continuing education credits.
• Stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months experience in a retail environment.
• Prior experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for prescription preparation.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
