Title: Technical Writer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Job Type: Contract (W2)

Compensation: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour

Dahl Consulting is partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer to hire a Technical Writer. This role is essential in supporting the engineering team by developing clear, accurate, and user‑friendly documentation and training materials for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems used in the testing and production of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).

• Develop comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manuals for ATE testers, including:
• Safety guidelines
• System operation procedures
• Maintenance instructions and spare parts lists
• Calibration and adjustment processes

• Collaborate with engineers to create training materials covering:
• System operation and component overview
• Troubleshooting known and potential issues
• Software module operation, sequence, and code highlights
• Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and quality standards for medical device manufacturing
• Work closely with engineering teams throughout design and manufacturing phases to gather accurate technical information
• Manage documentation timelines and deliverables

Required:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in engineering or medical device environments
• Strong understanding of technical documentation standards and best practices
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

• Familiarity with automated test equipment (ATE) and PCBAs
• Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices
