What We Are Looking For

We're hiring a Senior Engineering Project Manager to help expand Ceres Environmental Services, Inc.'s footprint by leading complex infrastructure, environmental services, energy, power plant and power generation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contributing to our growth strategy by leveraging the capabilities of Ceres Global network of companies.

In this leadership role, you will own the full project lifecycle—from scope and schedule to budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. You will lead multi‑disciplinary teams driving operational excellence and ensuring strict compliance with industry standards. In addition, you will work closely with the Chief Estimator during the proposal process to provide technical input, site knowledge, and resource planning.

The ideal candidate would be based at our corporate headquarters in Sarasota, FL, however, options include Houston, TX or Brooklyn Park, MN. This role requires travel to include domestic and international, with extended stays to support successful project execution.

What You Will Do Client & Team Leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client, subcontractors, vendors, along with local, state, and federal partners.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and support staff; enforce policies and ensure certifications are current.
  • Provide accurate and concise updates to senior leadership and stakeholders ensuring messaging is tailored to meet needs.
Project Delivery
  • Build and manage comprehensive project plans to include scope, budget, risk mitigation, communications strategies.
  • Create and oversee the Production, Quality Control, and Safety Plans to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure all required permits are secured and manage associated logistical activities.
  • Monitor project performance using project management software; maintain dashboards and key metrics.
  • Identify and document corrective actions when project scope is exceeded or deviations occur.
Financial Management
  • Lead the creation and management of project P&L, budgets, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and financial forecasts.
  • Review and approve expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, timecards, and travel related costs.
  • Prepare cost proposals, change orders, and Request for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) along with all supporting documentation.
Quality & Compliance
  • Develop and manage Quality Control (QC) plans using the three phase control system.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
  • Lead after action reviews and oversee complete project closeout processes.
Safety Leadership
  • Promote zero incident culture by developing and conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safety briefings.
  • Proactively identify hazards, implement control measures, and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Ensure all personnel maintain current training, licenses, and certifications, and remain in full compliance with safety standards.
