2nd shift available

The Hand Finishing Cell Captain
performs all tasks required by the Hand Finishing Assembler, as well as supervises the activities and training within a cell. Works as part of a team to provide customers with quality, packaged products in a timely manner.

• Directs cell personnel in training and performing their assigned tasks. Instructs, demonstrates, and assesses the accuracy of tasks assigned to all cell workers.
• Sets up cell workflow to allow for maximum efficiency.
• Formats and prints any required carton labels.
• Performs all necessary written internal and external documentation with complete and accurate information as required by internal procedures (load tags, etc.) and/or customer specifications.
• Reads, reviews, and understands the assigned jobs according to specifications.
• Performs manual tasks such as assembly kitting, inserting, hand folding, hand collating, taping, etc., efficiently and accurately according to job ticket and job specifications.
• Sets up and operates equipment such as conveyors, tape machines, strapping machines, shrink wrappers, etc., in the correct manner.

• Able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 25 pounds constantly.
• Must be able to move easily throughout the plant, stand for most of the shift, and perform pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting functions.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read, write legibly, follow instructions, and perform basic mathematical calculations related to weights, dimensions, and quantities.
