CNC Lathe​/Chucker Setup​/Operator; 2 & 3 Axis Machinist

Overview

CNC Lathe / Chucker Setup Operator is responsible for operating and working on technical set ups/aiding in proving processes on CNC Lathes and Chucker machines while maintaining customer, and company standards.

Reports to:

Operations Manager

• Operates and maintains CNC turning centers.
• Reviews drawings, layouts, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
• Takes precise measurements, and ensures product is conforming to customer requirements.
• Read and edit G&M code for CNC turning programs.
• Maintains accurate document practices throughout the day.
• Demonstrates the ability to read a blueprint.
• Monitors production rate and notifies correct personnel to help make adjustments.
• Maintains good line clearance throughout the day.
• Displays attention to detail.
• Performs tool alignments.
• The ability to set up an unproven process and more technical set ups.
• Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

High School Diploma / or Equivalent

Any college experience a plus.

• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in math
• Basic computer skills
• Experience with CNC turning centers

• Must be able to be on feet for entire shift.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
