Advantage Electric is a locally owned electrical company that has proudly served the Twin Cities since 1988. We take pride in our craftsmanship, reliability, and the care we bring to every job. As our team continues to grow, we’re looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join us in a hands‑on role assisting with general labor duties with the opportunity to earn hours toward becoming a licensed Journeyman electrician.
We’re seeking someone who’s hardworking, organized, and eager to support the owner of the company and crew both in the field and around the shop.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, staying busy, and being part of a team that values integrity and pride in their work. You’ll help keep operations running smoothly by taking on a variety of labor and support tasks, from organizing materials to assisting with light jobsite preparation. This position can also serve as a first step toward an electrical apprenticeship for those interested in learning the trade.
Day‑to‑DayResponsibilities
- Perform general yard and property maintenance
- Support owner with miscellaneous tasks
- Pick up and deliver materials or equipment to and from job sites
- Assist with trenching, digging, and basic site prep work
- Keep the shop, vehicles, and storage areas clean and organized
- Help load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Dispose of jobsite debris and assist with cleanup
- Maintain a positive, team‑oriented attitude
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Electrical experience is a plus but not required
