Learn more about Target here.  As a Senior Engineer, you serve as a specialist in the engineering team that supports the product. You help develop and gain insight into the application architecture. You can distill an abstract architecture into concrete designs and influence their implementation.

You apply appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems. You can design and implement architecture independently while influencing fellow engineers through design proposals and feedback. You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, help the team triage operational issues, and use your expertise to prevent repeat occurrences.

** Payment Data Services is part of Target’s Payments Platform. We build and maintain the Enterprise Payment Repository, a consolidated data store that makes payment data available across an ecosystem of approximately 10 payment processing systems. We build and support services and data flows that make payment data available for operational, reporting, and analytics needs. We also own the Payment Orchestration Layer, a real-time, data-driven decisioning engine with capabilities to help reduce bot traffic and payment fraud risk and to route payment traffic.

Our work requires close collaboration with engineering, product, and business partners across payments.
