Our recruiting firm is partnering with a leading Fortune 500 retail organization to identify a Technology Hardware Inventory & Fulfillment Specialist. This role supports the distribution, tracking, configuration, and inventory management of enterprise technology hardware used across retail, distribution, and corporate locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, enjoys working with technology assets, and possesses strong inventory management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

As a Technology Hardware Inventory & Fulfillment Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the fulfillment and inventory management of technology hardware assets, including devices used for point-of-sale systems, mobility solutions, security cameras, and other enterprise technologies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Pick, pack, ship, and track technology hardware requests.
  • Receive, stock, and organize inventory within the warehouse environment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation and cycle count activities.
  • Process warranty returns and track hardware movement throughout its lifecycle.
  • Configure hardware and apply firmware updates using established procedures.
  • Generate and maintain detailed reports related to inventory and fulfillment activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand hardware requirements and resolve fulfillment issues.
  • Build strong working relationships with business partners and customers.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with operational efficiencies.
  • Follow established warehouse safety and operational procedures.
Typical Time Allocation
  • 60% Hardware fulfillment activities, including picking, packing, and shipping
  • 25% Inventory tracking, reporting, and reconciliation
  • 15% Device configuration and firmware updates
Qualifications Required
  • Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or fulfillment environments.
  • Strong inventory management experience with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport pallets, packages, and equipment weighing 25 pounds or more.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to provide accurate, systematic reporting.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to work in an evolving environment.
  • Interest in learning and supporting emerging technology hardware.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with packaging and shipping operations.
  • Experience using Inventory Management Systems (IMS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Shipping and logistics experience.
  • Technical degree, associate degree, or related technical training.
  • Experience supporting technology hardware or IT asset management programs.
  • Experience working within a large corporate environment.
