AboutThe Role
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Part‑Time Bookkeeper to manage the day‑to‑day financial record‑keeping for our company. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, proficiency with accounting software, and a strong understanding of fundamental bookkeeping principles. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated and able to work independently for approximately 10–20 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Record day‑to‑day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Process accounts receivable (invoices, deposits, collection management).
- Process accounts payable (vendor bills, payments, expense reports).
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
- Process payroll in a timely manner.
- Maintain an orderly digital accounting filing system.
- Monitor and report on discrepancies.
- Interface with Sales and Operations Teams on project specific transactions and reports.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
- Prepare and generate financial statements and reports (e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Project Budgets) as requested.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online, SOS Inventory.
- Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets (MS Excel/Google Sheets) and financial software.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Excellent data entry and organizational skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Certification (e.g., Bookkeeper Certification, Quick Books Certified Pro Advisor).
- Experience in the Construction and/or Building Products industry.
Hours Per Week:
Approximately 10–20 hours per week.
Schedule and remote location:
Flexible.
Compensation: $40–50 per hour (commensurate with experience).
Employment Type:
