We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a growing startup team in Brooklyn, New York. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can manage invoice processing, maintain accurate payment records, and help keep day-to-day accounts payable operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and hands-on experience working in SAP within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure payments are prepared in line with established timelines and approval procedures.
• Review billing documentation for completeness, resolve discrepancies, and follow up with internal stakeholders or suppliers as needed.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and support the reconciliation of payable balances against supporting documentation.
• Enter and update financial data in SAP while preserving accuracy across transaction records and vendor profiles.
• Coordinate with finance and operational teams to address payment questions and improve the flow of invoice-related information.
• Assist with month-end accounts payable activities, including reporting support and preparation of outstanding payment details.
• Monitor open items and help ensure issues are identified quickly so that payment processing remains on track.
