Maimonides has an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Chairman.
Responsibilities- Manage correspondence, scheduling, and travel arrangements
- Coordinate special projects and prepare reports/data
- Take/transcribe minutes for departmental meetings, advisory committees, and faculty meetings
- Manage physician credentialing processes for new hires and reappointments in coordination with Credentials department
- Maintain current files for all faculty/staff, including licenses and DEA certifications
- Monitor and follow up on delinquent medical records and clinical reviews
- Prepare annual reports for SUNY Health Science Center, CME conferences, and regulatory bodies
- Handle patient complaints and risk management correspondence
- Organize departmental meetings and conferences, including speaker coordination, venue booking, and catering
- Supervise clerical staff and provide backup coverage for senior Administrative Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- 2+ years prior experience in a similar administrative role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position; knowledge of a second language preferred.
USD $50,817.00 - USD $61,645.00 /Yr.
