Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in assisting clients with their individual tax returns while ensuring compliance with current regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your skills and expertise in tax preparation within a detail-oriented consulting environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file individual tax returns accurately and efficiently.

- Analyze client financial records to ensure proper documentation and compliance with tax laws.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to manage and process tax-related tasks.

- Provide expert advice to clients regarding tax liabilities and potential deductions.

- Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Work collaboratively with team members to resolve complex tax issues.

- Review and verify tax documents submitted by clients for accuracy and completeness.

- Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.

- Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize client financial outcomes.

- Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements - Proven experience in individual tax preparation.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software.

- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Familiarity with tax planning strategies and procedures.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
