Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid background in individual tax preparation. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a trusted CPA firm while utilizing your expertise to ensure compliance and accuracy for clients.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare individual tax returns with precision and adherence to current tax laws.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax software to efficiently process and manage tax documents.

- Review financial records, statements, and other relevant information to determine tax obligations.

- Identify potential deductions and credits to maximize client benefits.

- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify any discrepancies.

- Ensure timely submission of tax filings to meet deadlines.

- Stay updated on changes to tax regulations and policies.

- Collaborate with other team members to address complex tax scenarios.

- Provide exceptional service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

- Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing purposes. Requirements - Proven experience in individual tax preparation.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax software.

- Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

- Capable of handling sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

- Adept at meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Certification or relevant qualifications in tax preparation are preferred.
