hours per weekcarries a caseload of adult patients as assigned, using a variety of clinical treatment modalities including individual, group, and family psychotherapy, and other intervention techniques. Demonstrates proficiency in utilization of professional skills in treatment of mental disorders. Where position entails special skills such as behavioral techniques, utilization is appropriate and proficient. Provides treatment with awareness of ethical and humane considerations.
Makes timely home visits to patients when clinically indicatedconducts psychodiagnostic assessments, writes reports, and presents findings to other staff. Psychodiagnostic reports are organized, lucid and relevant. Reports reflect ability to make diagnostic differentiationsavailable to interdisciplinary team for psychodiagnostic consultation; discusses with staff making request specific problem to be assesseddetermines appropriate psychodiagnostic instrument for determinationsmaintains appropriate patient records as required by law and mmc policies and proceduresseeks other treatment resources for patient when indicated, either in other units within the community mental health center (cmhc) or outside agencies;
communicates with other professionals regarding such referrals and does necessary paperworkfunctions as a member of a clinical interdisciplinary team and does intake interviewing as a member of that teamparticipates in clinical and administrative meetings of assigned teamparticipates in unit policy planning and implementationprovides clinical supervision to psychology interns and externs and to psychiatry residents as assigned. Becomes aware of supervisee's deficiencies and works collaboratively to remedy them.
