Physiatrist

Position: Full Time Physiatrist Needed
Position Overview  We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate  Physical Therapist  to provide high-quality patient care within an inpatient hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have bedside experience and be skilled in evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct physical therapy services to patients in the assigned hospital unit.
Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Monitor, assess, and document patient progress and outcomes.
Prepare and maintain accurate treatment records, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with department policies.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and therapeutic services.
Educate patients and family members on treatment plans and home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
Maintain departmental statistics and documentation requirements.
Follow all hospital policies, procedures, quality improvement initiatives, safety standards, environmental protocols, and infection control guidelines.
Design and provide therapeutic services appropriate for infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations.
Participate in continuing education, professional development activities, workshops, and in-service training.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education
~ Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.

Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist in a supervised clinical setting within the last three years.
Previous bedside/inpatient hospital experience is required.

Licensure & Certifications
Current New York State Physical Therapist License.
Current New York State Registration.
Current CPR Certification.
