Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse, PCU Float

Position Overview Maimonides Medical Center is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse for their float pool. The RN will care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, advanced line and drain management, chronic stable ventilator support, pacemaker management, and titrated vasoactive, antiarrhythmic, and noncardiac medications.

Candidate Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse license as required by the facility and applicable jurisdiction
• Progressive care, stepdown, telemetry, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Experience caring for preoperative and postoperative surgical patients
• Competency in cardiac rhythm and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Experience managing central lines, chest tubes, drains, wound vacuums, pacemakers, and cardiac sheaths
• Experience caring for patients receiving titrated cardiac, vasoactive, and antiarrhythmic medications
• Current certifications required by the facility for the assignment
