Merchandise Manager at Five Below

[ 20 to  22 per hour]. Pay may vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors.

• Oversee receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor.
• Manage the setup and maintenance of displays for specific store sections, ensuring signage is accurate and promotions are properly highlighted.
• Handle opening and closing procedures, securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Help oversee daily activities of all store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates, improving their performance.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by seeking ways to boost sales via merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Execute the market plan by arranging products and signage according to corporate guidelines and updating promotional materials regularly, ensuring compliance with the Inventory Integrity process.

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Creative thinking.
• Maintain composure under pressure.

• Frequently operate cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and placing/removing items up to a height of 5‑10 feet.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and উপজ Empower sales floor.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers via telephone and face‑to‑face, and with managers and coworkers; must convey accurate information.
• Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers and to/from stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule मैंने day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts and travel as needed.
• Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules diá and SOPs.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position 80% of the time.
