Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access, promptly reporting any findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to the public and clients at the location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, addressing questions and/or concerns as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or requests for assistance, utilizing training and resources provided by Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
