Position:
Switchgear Estimator / Project Manager
Location:
Brooklyn, NY
Salary: $90,000–$120,000 base (bonus opportunities; higher for exceptional candidates)
Schedule:
Full-time, On-site
Aura Electric is looking for an experienced Switchgear Estimator/Project Manager to join our electrical supply and switch gear team in Brooklyn. This role requires strong technical expertise and project management skills to handle the switch gear quoting process from start to finish.
Responsibilities- Perform take-offs from drawings and create accurate, comprehensive quotes
- Manage the entire switch gear quoting and sales process from inquiry to delivery
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure competitive solutions
- Provide customers with technical guidance and tailored solutions
- Monitor project timelines and maintain clear communication with customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to keep projects moving efficiently
- Support business growth through strong client relationships and follow-up
- Previous experience with switch gear at companies such as Schneider Electric, ABB, Siemens, or similar strongly preferred
- 3–5+ years in switch gear estimation, project management, or related roles
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
