Full-Time | Real Estate Management & Development Summary
A Brooklyn-based real estate management and development company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting and financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support the company’s growth.
Responsibilities- Oversee all day-to-day accounting and finance operations
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Collaborate with ownership and senior management on financial strategy
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of accounting/financial management experience, preferably in real estate
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate financial practices
- Proficient in Quick Books and Excel (or similar accounting systems)
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
