If you have an HHA certification or CNA certification: $17.00/hour
If you have an STNA certification: $17.50/hour

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for the day-to-day personal care and safety of the participant.

Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, toileting, bathing, ambulation, feeding, dressing, and participating in recreational activities; encourages independence as appropriate.

Responsible for light housekeeping, laundry, and assisting with meal preparation.

Anticipates needs to carry through activities in an organized, efficient manner; prepares all supplies and work area before beginning activities.

May participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as requested; communicate relevant participant information to supervisor.

Completes required documentation according to organizational guidelines and time frames in a legible and complete manner.

Reports participant status changes to the supervisor and other staff as relevant.

Validates competency in basic skills and personal care services annually and as otherwise required.

Completes ongoing training program requirements per organizational policy.

Follow organizational policy for call-offs and completing timesheets.

Assists with errands, which may include grocery shopping or replenishing household goods.

Understands and utilizes principles of infection control, including handwashing, bag procedures, and care of an infectious patient.

Innovative in providing services with the available resources.

Attend departmental meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications

HHA (Home Health Aide), CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), or STNA (State-tested Nursing Assistant) certification is required. CPR certification is preferred.
Prior experience working with frail, older adults or persons with special needs is required; experience with dementia patients is desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
