Job Overview
We’re looking for an Eye Care Professional with managerial experience to support our Spring Hill location. As an Optical Lead at Opti‑mart, a Sight
360 company, you will help build the region’s premier destination for comprehensive vision care, serving over 100,000 patients across 17 locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area.
- Work closely with onsite OD to support staffing needs and facilitate patient workflows.
- Obtain patient’s prescription from ophthalmologist or optometrist.
- Gather patient’s information including vision and medical insurance information.
- Schedule, confirm and maintain appointments.
- Recommend frames, lenses and products that are suitable for the patient’s style, face and specifications.
- Adjust and fit frames according to the prescription and patient’s specifications.
- Prepare and submit orders to the proper lab for manufacturing.
- Use equipment such as lensometer, auto refractor, pupilometer, calipers and hand tools.
- Assist with frame inventory, contact lens inventory, marketing materials and office supplies.
- Teach patients how to wear and care for both contact lenses and eyeglasses.
- Repair or replace broken frames.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, traveling, answering phones, assisting the doctor with special orders and referrals.
- Multi‑task to help patients in a timely manner.
- Position reports to Area Manager.
- Provides supervisory oversight of Eye Care Professional positions.
- Full‑time, 5 day a week onsite position. Shift may be assigned to cover any weekday (Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Shift will be assigned a minimum of two weeks in advance.
- Potential for evening hours to support business needs and/or inventory processes.
- Travel to other optical locations to support business needs may be required. Employees are reimbursed for travel time and mileage based on IRS mileage reimbursement rates.
- Current Optician License preferred.
- Current supervisory experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years optical experience required.
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to coach and manage a team of optical professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem‑solving skills required.
- Managing multiple patients.
- Assisting patient in selections of proper eyewear.
- Teaching patients.
- Computer proficient.
- Able to perform necessary math skills.

$18 - $21 per hour (may pay more for Licensed Optician).
