Overview

Seasonal Surgical Tech First Assist (250003OH) – Inter Health staffing division of Tampa General Hospital. Positions range from permanent clinical float roles to Seasonal 13-week assignments with higher base pay. Tampa General Hospital is committed to providing area residents with world-class and compassionate health care.

• Provide direct support to surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Position and prep patients prior to surgery to ensure clear visibility for the surgeon.
• Use instruments such as retractors and sponges, control bleeding, and close surgery sites using sutures or staples.
• Properly dress wounds and collaborate with doctors and other surgical team members to ensure proper post-operative care of patients.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a certified surgical technician program and a recognized first assistant training program.
• At least one year experience as a surgical tech is required.
• BLS required.
