Cardiovascular Invasive Technician

Under direct supervision and following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, assists in the cath lab by delivering care to patients before, during, and after procedures. Assists physicians and CVTs in performing procedures including but not limited to catheterizations, interventions, electrophysiology, and implants. Supports patient care implementation, documents assessments and procedural flow, identifies and reports situations requiring intervention, communicates goals and care plans, and ensures patient rights are maintained.

Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with Tampa General Hospital's values. This position requires constant supervision.

• Technical Program in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or General Radiographer by the State of Florida, registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

• One (1) year experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
