Job Title: RN Registered Nurse – PCU Stepdown
Location: Brooksville, FL
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent – Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Compensation:

• Base Pay: $30.76 – $41.50/hour (based on years of experience)

• Differentials: +$4.75/hour nights | +$3.00/hour weekends | +$2.00/hour with national certification

• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days) | $15,000 (Nights)

  • Paid 2% on first/second paycheck, balance in 6-month increments

• Relocation Assistance: Available, case by case

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PCU Stepdown RN to join a 46-bed Cardiac PCU unit, where all patients are on telemetry monitoring. Typical cases include Afib, RVR, and pre/post-cath patients. Nurses manage ratios of 4–5 patients (may flex up to
6), with opportunities to expand critical care skills by managing a variety of drips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous monitoring and interventions for cardiac stepdown patients

• Manage drips and telemetry while maintaining safe patient ratios

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care

• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and care plans

• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and communication in high-acuity settings

Qualifications:

• Current Florida RN license or multistate compact license (required)

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross)

• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (acute care preferred; LTACH, home health, rehab considered)

• Strong teamwork and patient advocacy skills
