Charge Nurse, RN Nurse
The Clinical Charge Nurse - Cardiac Vasc Surgery supervises staff registered nurses and other team members. Responsibilities include planning work for efficiency, managing staff productivity, scheduling, and delegating patient care functions based on competency and age-specific needs. The nurse assumes responsibility for patient care, closely supervises staff, and communicates pertinent information to physicians, staff, and the Director.
Additional duties involve reviewing daily patient assignments, recommending staffing adjustments, assigning and supervising extra duties such as stock orders and log completions, and ensuring staff safety and efficiency through physical capacity and work performance improvements. The role includes supervising staff work quality and quantity, and performing duties aligned with Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- License/Registration: Valid Registered Nurse license issued by Florida or a Compact State
- Certifications: BLS (American Red Cross or American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), NIHSS
Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required.
