The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort of residents. This includes conducting professional assessments, documenting residents’ health, and assisting with the management of nursing units and staff.
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintain up-to-date nursing care plans, document progress, and recommend revisions to care plans (MDS) according to facility policy and procedure.
- Perform daily and periodic resident visits to monitor and observe physical and mental conditions.
- Perform routine nursing procedures while working closely with physicians and families to maintain residents’ health and mental well-being.
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families; handle resident and visitor complaints, allegations, accidents, or incidents.
- Document medical records, complete 24-hour reports, end-of-shift reports, shift narcotic counts, and document the destruction of outdated/discontinued medications.
- Maintain up-to-date resident medical records.

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and possess a valid RN license in good standing per State and Federal requirements.
- Thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Florida.
- Basic computer skills.
- A passion for caring for people.
- Personal integrity and tactful communication with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
- Proficiency with computers, Word, Excel, and office equipment.
- Willing to work every other weekend.
