New Nurse RN Residency for December 2025 and January 2026 grads. This application is only for December 2025 and January 2026 grads.

The HCA Nurse Residency Program at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is a year-long program designed to provide hands-on experience to help establish clinical and critical thinking skills. As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will be supported by nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents to transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

The HCA Nurse Residency Program provides tools to succeed in today’s hospital environment. This paid program supports the transition from classroom to clinical practice through learning experiences including:

• Advanced clinical training in a specialty area
• Monthly educational sessions
• Preceptorship training with a facility preceptor
• Hands-on simulations to measure and evaluate skills
• Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders
• Collaboration on an evidence-based practice project

The RN Resident provides high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and nursing standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN Resident delivers individualized, comprehensive care and acts as an advocate for patients and families.

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in status
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care in the patient record
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and notify the provider if needed
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the state
• No prior experience required
• Some travel may be needed for training
