Shift Manager

About This Role

This position is for a Shift Manager at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA has no involvement in any employment decisions or application processing.

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers get a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Plan for each shift, monitor performance, take action to meet McDonald’s standards, and communicate with the next Shift Manager.
• Monitor safety, security, and profitability; help departments meet their goals.

• Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule who enjoys a fast‑paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in a corporate‑owned and operated restaurant.
