Responsibilities- Assisted Self Check Out:
Monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers; greet, assist, and engage customers; move throughout the checkout area to ensure accurate transactions; thank customers for their business. - Customer Service:
Provide SMART customer service, assist customers in locating and loading merchandise, respond to questions, communicate product and program information, train and coach associates as needed, process sales transactions and returns according to company guidelines, and open additional registers when necessary. - In-stock:
Prepare register area, inspect returned merchandise, process online orders and loading tickets, review online orders and returns, verify prices, and record items used in the store. - Clean and Safe Stores:
Monitor cash drawer security, manage alarm triggers, identify and report security risks, maintain housekeeping standards, ensure a safe work environment, and operate store equipment as needed. - General:
Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Less than 1 year of computer experience (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
- Less than 1 year of experience with common retail technology (smartphones, tablets).
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs (credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, warranties, features, benefits).
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in any field.
- Less than 1 year of retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting.
