Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume finance function in Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position is well suited to a detail-oriented individual who can manage invoice activity, maintain accurate financial records, and work confidently within enterprise accounting systems. The role will contribute to timely payment operations, expense review, and month-end support while partnering with internal teams to confirm billing accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and record supporting ledger entries in accordance with company procedures.
• Review invoices, assign appropriate account coding, and post items after validating documentation and approvals.
• Examine purchase orders, supplier invoices, and contract terms to confirm charges are correct and aligned with agreed pricing.
• Handle travel and expense submissions, ensuring compliance with policy and proper financial treatment.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to resolve outstanding payment issues.
• Support period-end and year-end close activities, including accrual-related postings and preparation of accounting schedules.
• Execute payment-related tasks such as ACH activity and check run coordination while maintaining strong internal controls.
