Radiologic Technologist I
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I to join Children’s Hospital Colorado, a leading pediatric hospital. This role involves advanced imaging technology to support diagnoses and treatment of our patients.
Responsibilities- Produce high‑quality radiographic images, both fixed and portable, demonstrating accurate anatomy and pathology.
- Facilitate patient flow daily, managing STAT/urgent and high‑priority patients.
- Provide age‑appropriate care and prepare patients for procedures.
- Communicate procedure details to patients, families, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
- Operate all diagnostic imaging equipment and ancillary equipment safely following protocols.
- Apply ALARA principles and maintain radiation safety practices.
- Maintain competency in dose reduction techniques and the Image Gently Campaign.
- Use Radiology Information System (RIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Act as first responder providing Basic Life Support (BLS) during emergencies.
- Verify patient allergies and indications before contrast; administer contrast safely using the five rights.
- Assist providers with procedures as needed, following scope of practice and aseptic technique.
- Adhere to department policies, procedures, and protocols; report safety concerns.
- Follow quality assurance/control (QA/QC) programs and regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission, ACR, and Colorado State regulations.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly to service or biomedical engineering.
- Communicate clearly in verbal and written forms per department guidelines.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling, location, call, overtime, and weekend assignments.
- Graduation from an accredited radiology program.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits.
- Shift options:
Monday/Friday 08:00–20:30 (North);
Tuesday/Thursday 08:00–16:30 (Uptown) OR Monday/Friday 08:00–16:30 (Uptown);
Tuesday/Thursday 08:00–16:30 (North). - Salary range: $29.48 to $40.87 per hour (based on hours worked and experience). Eligible for shift differentials (evening, night & weekend).
