We’re seeking a Director of Quality & Compliance, based in Broomfield, Colorado, to lead our enterprise-wide Quality and Compliance department for MRO operations, ensuring adherence to FAA and other regulatory standards across all Blackhawk Performance Centers.

As the company’s senior quality authority, you’ll lead a high-performing team of Chief Inspectors and Technical Training professionals supporting MRO facilities in Camarillo, CA;
Glendale, AZ;
Broomfield, CO;
Columbia, MO; and Alaska. You’ll partner closely with the FAA, OEMs, and internal operations teams to uphold safety, integrity, and continuous improvement in every aspect of our maintenance and repair operations. Periodic travel will be required to support site audits, training, and alignment initiatives.

• Drive Enterprise Quality Leadership: Develop and execute The Blackhawk Group’s Quality & Compliance strategy — aligning with business goals, FAA requirements, and OEM standards.
• Unify the QMS: Standardize and maintain an integrated Quality Management System components across all MRO sites to ensure consistency, scalability, and audit readiness.
• Champion Regulatory Compliance: Oversee all FAA Part 145/43/65 programs and related EASA and international standards; provide executive oversight of the FAA Drug & Alcohol Testing Program (Part 120).
• Develop & Empower Teams: Lead Chief Inspectors, QA Managers, and Technical Training functions; build a cohesive, high-performing quality organization.
• Audit, Analyze, Improve: Direct internal and external audits, drive CAPA programs, and use data‑driven insights to eliminate systemic quality issues.
• Integrate Safety & Quality: Partner with HR and EHS to align the Safety Management System (SMS) with maintenance operations, reinforcing a proactive safety culture.
• Partner Across Functions: Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to embed quality assurance throughout every maintenance process.
• Represent Blackhawk: Serve as the primary FAA liaison and customer contact for all quality, compliance, and audit matters.

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance, Engineering, or related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive aviation maintenance or quality leadership experience, including 8+ years in senior management.
• Proven track record managing multi‑site Part 145 repair stations and enterprise QMS programs.
• Strong working knowledge of FAA, EASA, ISO, and SMS quality systems.
• ASQ certification (CQE, CQM/OE) or equivalent a plus.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills with a passion for mentoring and driving improvement.
