Registered Nurse - Pre-Operative & PACU

Department: Pre-Op/PACU

Reports to: Pre-Op/PACU Manager

Schedule/Type: Full-time, 10 hr shifts, Monday–Friday, onsite/hourly

Wage: $33-48/hr, commensurate with experience

Bonus Eligibility: No

• Assess, instruct & prepare patients prior to surgery
• Ensure operative and informed consents are signed and correct
• Take and record vital statistics to prepare patients for surgery
• Initiate IVs and inform patients about procedures
• Assess patients’ post-operative condition
• Monitor vital signs and measurements to meet discharge criteria
• Log all findings in patient files
• Answer patient questions and ensure patient comfort
• Monitor for condition changes and report to the physician
• Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies

• 2 years of Pre-Op/PACU (RN) experience in an Orthopedic setting (required; preferred)
• Acute Care: 1 year (Preferred)

• Degree in Nursing:
  Bachelor’s Preferred
• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
• BCLS & ACLS certification required

• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• PALS Certification
