Department and ReportingDepartment: Pre-Op/PACU
Reports to: Pre-Op/PACU Manager
ScheduleSchedule/Type: Full-time, 10 hr shifts, Monday–Friday, onsite/hourly
Wage: $33-48/hr, commensurate with experience
Bonus Eligibility: No
Responsibilities- Assess, instruct & prepare patients prior to surgery
- Ensure operative and informed consents are signed and correct
- Take and record vital statistics to prepare patients for surgery
- Initiate IVs and inform patients about procedures
- Assess patients’ post-operative condition
- Monitor vital signs and measurements to meet discharge criteria
- Log all findings in patient files
- Answer patient questions and ensure patient comfort
- Monitor for condition changes and report to the physician
- Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies
- 2 years of Pre-Op/PACU (RN) experience in an Orthopedic setting (required; preferred)
- Acute Care: 1 year (Preferred)
- Degree in Nursing:
Bachelor’s Preferred - Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
- BCLS & ACLS certification required
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
