Project Engineer – Design & Manufacturing Environment

We are recruiting for an established and growing engineering business that are seeking a Project Engineer to join its dynamic engineering division. This company specialises in the design, development, and global distribution of mounting solutions for professional AV equipment, supporting a wide range of sectors including retail, education, healthcare, and commercial environment

This is an ideal opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Engineer, or Project Engineer who wants to step into a project-led role while still working closely with design, CAD, and real-world products.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing multiple engineering/design projects from concept through to delivery
Acting as the link between customers, sales teams, and design engineers
Coordinating design work using Solid Works CAD (reviewing, not producing drawings
Ensuring projects are completed on time and to customer specifications
Reviewing drawings with customers and supporting project meetings
Supporting development of bespoke products and catalogue solutions
Suggesting design improvements and ensuring products are fit for purpose
Experience Required

2+ years’ experience in Project Engineering / Mechanical Design / Product Design
Experience managing or coordinating engineering projects
Ability to read and understand 3D CAD drawings
Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, or mechanical products
Strong communication and organisation skills
Desirable

Experience using Solid Works
Previous design experience (3D modelling)
Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree – not essential)
