Class 1 Relief Driver
Jenkins Humber - Brough
We are currently looking for reliable and professional Class 1 (HGV C+E) Drivers to provide cover for annual leave and other driver absences at our Brough site.
This is an ideal opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for flexible work with a professional transport operation.
The Role
As a Class 1 Relief Driver, your duties will include:
Completing up to two deliveries per day.
Opening and closing trailer curtains.
Correctly securing loads and ensuring all loads are transported safely.
Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
Liaising with the Operations Team throughout the day.
Shunting trailers onto bays at our Brough site when required.
Ensuring customer delivery time slots are met.
Providing clear and timely communication to the Operations Team, particularly in the event of delays or unforeseen circumstances.
Start times will vary depending on operational requirements. We will discuss your availability and normally ask for your earliest available start time when arranging shifts.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:
Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
Have relevant HGV driving experience.
Be reliable, punctual and professional.
Have a strong focus on safety and load security.
Have good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Be able to work flexibly around varying start times and operational requirements.
Understand the importance of meeting customer delivery time slots.
Driver Induction
On your first day with Jenkins Humber, you will be required to complete an induction pack and undergo a driving licence check, unless these checks have already been completed and the relevant information has been provided to us by your employer/recruitment agency.
