An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Design Quality Engineer within the aerospace industry based in Broughton. This Design Quality Engineer role focuses on driving quality performance, continuous improvement initiatives, and the resolution of engineering quality issues across complex product development programmes.
The successful Design Quality Engineer will work closely with engineering teams and suppliers across multiple international locations, supporting quality strategy deployment from the initial design phase through the full product lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Quality Engineer to contribute to high-profile projects within the aerospace industry while influencing quality standards, process reliability, and product maturity in Broughton.

- Work pattern:35 hours per week on-site between 7am - 7pm
- Drive and deliver quality improvement projects that support engineering quality objectives.
- Facilitate structured root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive action plans.
- Identify quality-related risks within engineering deliverables and coordinate mitigation activities.
- Support the deployment and ongoing application of quality standards across engineering teams.
- Monitor process performance and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across global locations.
- Capture and share lessons learned to improve organisational efficiency and product maturity.
- Experience with in quality engineering, design engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of project management principles and delivery of improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Experience using root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D or similar approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and standard digital business tools.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management, engineering drawings, modification management, manufacturing engineering, or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or automation scripting.
