Teacher of Maths, Broughton High School

About the School

Broughton High School is located in the north of Edinburgh’s City Centre and is built as a modern learning environment. The school incorporates the Edinburgh Music School, the SFA Performance School, and the Specialist Dance Unit.

Role Overview

We are seeking two enthusiastic and skilled Mathematics teachers to join our thriving team on a permanent basis. The role involves teaching Maths/Numeracy across the BGE levels of the Curriculum for Excellence and delivering high quality lessons that support all learners.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum for mathematics across BGE levels.
  • Use flexible learning pathways to support diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve practice and share resources.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and culture.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified teacher with experience teaching maths or numeracy.
  • Experience across BGE levels of the Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Knowledge of modern teaching methods and inclusive practice.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of respect, inclusion, and integrity.
Employment Details

Salary: £35,022 – £52,740 (based on the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education).

Hours:

35 per week. Permanent position.

Applicants must be willing to complete the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 checks and, if required, an overseas criminal record check.
