Teacher of Maths – Broughton High School

Salary: £35,022 – £52,740;

Hours:

35 per week.

Broughton High School is located north of Edinburgh City Centre and is committed to respect, inclusion and integrity. The school offers modern facilities and specialist provisions including an Edinburgh Music School, a SFA Performance School and a Specialist Dance Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Maths and Numeracy across BGE levels of the Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Plan, deliver and assess lessons, ensuring progress for all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a forward‑thinking department to ensure success in learning for all.
  • Participate in school activities and support department improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualified teacher with experience teaching Maths at BGE levels.
  • Required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 scheme or undertake an update check.
  • Must be able to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if you have spent 3 months or more abroad in the last 5 years.
  • Salary will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
