Customer Service Rep, Delivery
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you prefer fewer hours (down to a minimum of 12) we also welcome you to apply.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you three‑weeks' notice of your shifts. We support flexibility, so if your availability closely matches, even if not exact, we still want to hear from you.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, you deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats. Our Customer Delivery Drivers meet customers in their homes daily – a role built on driving, helping, and delivering great service with a smile.
It’s hands‑on, physical and full of variety. No two shifts are the same, and our customers look for help in many ways. Most of the day you’ll feel like your own boss, but a team of Managers and colleagues in base are always ready to support you when needed.

Responsibilities- Ensure the van and trays are clean and tidy.
- Keep the back yard clean, tidy and free of rubbish, picking up litter as you see it.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van and check for roadworthiness.
- Communicate with the customer about any order changes, including short‑code items and substitutions, offering refunds if needed.
- Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
- Explain that customers will not be charged for substitutions.
- Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving if early.
- Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
- Be warm and welcoming, taking time to understand the customer and say "Thank you."
- Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
- Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work.
- Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on improving the store for customers.
- Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic), held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
