Pay, Hours & Availability

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour, increasing to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional pay may apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a minimum of 12 hours available for those who prefer fewer hours.

Availability windows (example):

• Mon: 06:00 – 12:00
• Tue: 06:00 – 12:00
• Wed: 06:00 – 13:00
• Thu: 06:00 – 13:00
• Fri: 05:00 – 13:00
• Sat: 05:00 – 13:00

We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you a 3‑week notice of your shifts. We support flexibility—if your available times differ slightly from our advertised windows, we are happy to consider you.

• Get to know customers and serve them with passion and pride; give great natural service.

• Work across the store, including service, picking and replenishment areas where required.

• Use your knowledge of the store’s performance to help drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.

• Accept deliveries into the store when required.
