Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This role includes acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down products, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
DescriptionPay Rate: $13.00/hr
Responsibilities- Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports per company policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; 1‑3 months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Computer
Skills:
Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: Regularly stand and walk during shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb steps; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product;
prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; contact cleaning supplies. - Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
- Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
- Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming required; follow retailer dress code.

Skills:
English is primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
