Product Demonstrator Part Time

Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This role includes acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down products, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Pay Rate: $13.00/hr

• Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports per company policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  High school diploma or GED; 1‑3 months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required.
• Physical Demands: Regularly stand and walk during shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb steps; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product;
  
  prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; contact cleaning supplies.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
• Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
• Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming required; follow retailer dress code.
