Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills while establishing retailer relationships. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00 to $14.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 5–10 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You will also use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys for merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. - Holiday support:
During peak holiday periods such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days, extended hours, and sometimes on the holidays themselves. - Department resets:
You may be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Assignments typically provide two weeks’ notice and may involve evenings or weekends. - One Team Vision:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you support other team members within the network when needed.
This is a physically demanding job that requires consistent energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You can read, write, and understand English.
- You can lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- You can operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- You have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
