Warehouse Worker

  Broussard, LA
• Assignment Duration: 12 months +
• Work Schedule:
  
  M-F / 7AM-4PM
• Comprehensive benefits with 401(k), Holidays and PTO
• Local Resident

• Responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules
• Loading / unloading orders onto and from trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and configuring outgoing parcels
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup as directed (pick, pack, wrap, label, load)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and assist in Cycle Counts
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors, coworkers and business partners
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with safety procedures, rules and regulations

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Worker
• Understanding of warehousing practices and methods
• Physically able to withstand heat dust, minor lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Become certified on various types of forklifts and overhead cranes
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Capable of comprehending shipping and receiving documentation
• Must have acute attention to detail
• Become familiar with inventory software, databases and systems
• Capable of working cohesively with a dynamic team
• Able to communicate clearly
• Potentially available for after hours on call rotation
• High School or GED required
