This role will work out of a location or city within the East Region (e.g., New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maine, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or West Virginia) and must live near a major airport for travel.
As a Regional Sales Director (RSD) at Badger Day lighting, you will drive the Region's sales performance for all lines of business by providing sales strategy, leadership, tools, and coordination in partnership with Field Operations Management. The RSD will assist in developing and implementing the Region's sales strategy as well as providing leadership, creativity, and resources to achieve and exceed the Region's sales goals.
You will also ensure that corporate sales & marketing initiatives and objectives are fully aligned with National Accounts.
The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.
What You’ll Be Doing- Develop and execute a 2‑3 year business plan ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategic plan and the immediate manager’s business plan, and enhance area strategic positioning.
- Implement Regional sales strategy to increase market share for all our service offerings, expand existing business relationships, and coordinate with VP, Sales to ensure alignment.
- Actively research available sources to identify likely prospects based on alignment with Badger services, known business needs, typical customer profiles, business activities, competitive market position, customer challenges, and awareness of a competitive presence for the account.
- Onboard, train, develop, and support the Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) and Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) to ensure full understanding of our business and to set them up for success.
- Report key metrics, successes, and needs through monthly business reviews.
- Identify and align resources within the Region to drive market and account penetration.
- Own all customer contracts—ensure completeness, accuracy, policy compliance, and timely delivery.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. - Minimum 3 years of regional and/or strategic account management or sales experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in the construction industry, sales, fleet, etc.
- Ability to proactively identify issues and build mitigation plans, address problems, and create solutions.
- Experience with general office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
