Clinical Psychologist

Overview

Guide Star Eldercare is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients in long-term care facilities by promoting safety, functionality, and dignity. We provide neuro-behavioral health services through a multidisciplinary approach to residents with neurocognitive disorders and other neurologic or psychiatric diagnoses.

• Provide clinical evaluations
• Establish differential diagnoses (e.g., Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, vascular cognitive impairment)
• Perform cognitive assessments
• Provide condition-specific support therapy or insight-based therapy when indicated
• Coordinate the patient’s care plan with the facility, PCP, and Guide Star colleagues, and engage with families as indicated

• Active state Psychologist license
• Passion for the geriatric population and interest in neurobehavioral science
• Desire to make a difference in dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurodegenerative disorders
• HSPP is preferred in applicable states
