Production Operator II – Orano USA
Orano Med, a subsidiary of Orano USA, is at the forefront of research in nuclear medicine and is developing innovative lead‑212based therapies. The Production Operator II will be responsible for routine production in a newly established facility that meets high standards for quantity, speed, and reliability.
Job SummaryThe top priority for the Production Operator II will be routine production. The role supports the production team, maintains a cleanroom environment, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Production Supervisor and Management team to improve processes.
- Collaborate with the shift supervisor to ensure the shift runs efficiently and lead by example.
- Train other team members under the guidance of the shift supervisor.
- Write, review, and maintain relevant SOPs.
- Help ensure the site is audit‑ready.
- Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of the cleanroom suites.
- Complete routine production tasks such as reading SOPs, gowning qualification, media fills, process training, bioburden runs, PV runs, and tech transfer.
- Execute daily routine production following EHS regulations and guidelines (NRC ALARA, OSHA, EPA, chemical, waste disposal, and state/local regulations).
- Manufacture following SOPs using proper aseptic technique.
- Set up production, perform line clearance, and clean/VPHP.
- Troubleshoot urgent production problems.
- Identify, document, and communicate failures and near‑miss incidents.
- Adhere to SOPs, company policies, regulatory requirements, and laws to support quality and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with QC/QA to deliver quality products.
- Assist with deviations, OOT/OOS, CAPAs, change controls, audits, and inspections.
- Collaborate with MS&T and process engineers to identify and implement process improvements.
- Cross‑train and perform cleanroom tasks including cleaning, EM resupply, and restocking.
- Conduct routine radiation surveys and wipe tests.
- Maintain paper and electronic batch records, equipment logs, and other documentation.
- Maintain, qualify, calibrate, and prepare equipment; report problems and troubleshoot as needed.
- Maintain stock of materials and supplies; obtain documentation for raw material release.
