Industrial Electrical Technician at 619 Recruiting

Our client is looking for an Industrial Electrical Technician to join their manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical systems across plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including PLCs, motor controls, relays, drives, and sensors.
  • Install, commission, and integrate new electrical equipment and automation systems.
  • Maintain and repair electrical safety systems, machine guarding, and power distribution systems.
  • Support process improvements and equipment upgrades through electrical and controls expertise.
  • Keep accurate logs, schematics, and maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with OEM technicians and internal team during equipment installation and startup.
Essential

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3 5 years of hands‑on industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Formal technical training, electrical apprenticeship, or journeyman license strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley or Siemens preferred).
  • Working knowledge of motor controls, drives, sensors, and industrial automation systems.
  • Ability to work safely around high‑voltage equipment and ensure compliance with electrical codes.
  • Must have own tools and be available for on‑call support as needed.
Preferred Experience
  • Plastics manufacturing or extrusion equipment.
  • Industrial automation, robotics, and process control systems.
  • Use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work tracking.
Education & Certifications
  • Education Requirements:

    High school diploma or GED (minimum). Associate’s degree in Industrial Electricity, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electromechanical Systems or relevant equivalent experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Certifications & Licenses:
    Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred). OSHA 10/30 certification. NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace). Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training. PLC troubleshooting certification (Allen‑Bradley or Siemens preferred). Industrial automation or controls certifications (Rockwell, Siemens, ISA). Instrumentation and calibration training. Aerial lift/forklift certification for safe equipment access.
